Mehria Azizi is a young Afghan camerawoman. When she was eight years old, during the time of the mujahedeen, her mother was killed by stray bullets. When she was eighteen, after surviving the Taliban, she worked with other young Afghan women to make the film ‘Afghanistan Unveiled’. In this photograph Mehria is filming a woman preparing traditional Afghan bread in a bakery in the Kabul neighbourhood of Khair Khana.
